What is the Truth Psychologist?

The Truth Psychologist is a blog/substack about anything and everything looked at through the lens of TRUTH. No agenda, except to search for, discover and alert others to the truth.

About me

I'm a psychologist who's currently a stay-at-home mom with a work-from-home job to pay all my student loans.

Yup. Life is grand.

Actually, it is. I was so career-driven, graduating college when I was 20, ready to take over a company as I had my first child…

I even went into labor during my licensure exam.

And then my beautiful baby daughter arrived.

And everything changed.

As I look around at this crazy world we live in, all I really care about is my family. I spent a ton of time and money trying to make a name for myself, but as soon as my daughter was born, I knew none of that mattered. Double that feeling once my son arrived.

I do have an immense desire for intellectual stimulation and a strong passion for writing. And so I hope to take some free time here and there (probably around 2 am) to spread a little info to others. It might just be an article I found, some news I heard or perhaps some humor to get us all through these, shall we say, “interesting” times.

I'll offer the facts. If I have a guess or an opinion, I'll own it. I hope others will, too. Because I believe that together, through honest conversation, we will all arrive at a better place.

Unless, of course, you want to stay in the messed up place in which we've all been ceremoniously dumped in the last year. For me, I think I'll keep looking for somewhere better….where things make sense, individual people actually matter and truth prevails.

PhD in common sense. I mean counseling psychology. (Common sense came later.) Offering a stand-back-from-the-mosaic perspective missing from the universities and your typical psychologist's office. Looking for truth? Me, too. Let's find it together.
